Good Monk Raises ₹33 Crore in Pre-Series A to Scale Preventive Nutrition
Good Monk raises ₹33 Cr in pre-Series A led by RPSG Capital to scale its preventive nutrition brand, expand Tier II/III reach, and invest in R&D.
Bengaluru-based preventive nutrition startup Good Monk, the flagship brand of Superfoods Valley, has raised ₹33 crore ($3.65 million) in a pre-Series A funding round at a valuation of ₹175 crore (~$20 million).
The round was led by RPSG Capital Ventures, with participation from Sharrp Ventures and Hyperscale Ventures. The founders’ families also participated in the round.
The development was earlier reported by Entrackr.
Prior to this round, the company had raised nearly $3 million.
From Shark Tank to Scaling Up
Good Monk recently gained national visibility after appearing on Shark Tank India, where it secured a deal from Vineeta Singh, co-founder of Sugar Cosmetics.
The brand operates in the preventive nutrition segment, offering sprinkle-on nutrition products designed to be easily added to daily meals without altering taste or cooking habits.
How the Funds Will Be Used
According to the company, the fresh capital will be deployed to:
Invest in research & development for new products
Explore new nutrition formats
Expand distribution in Tier II and Tier III markets
Build brand awareness and consumer education initiatives
The focus remains on making preventive nutrition accessible and habit-friendly for Indian households.
Business Model & Growth
Founded by Amarpreet Singh Anand and Sahiba Kaur, Good Monk sells its products through:
Its direct-to-consumer website
Online marketplaces like Amazon
Flipkart
The startup claims to have witnessed strong growth over the past 18 months and has turned contribution margin positive at the CM3 level, indicating improving unit economics.
The Bigger Opportunity
India’s preventive nutrition market is expanding rapidly as consumers increasingly seek:
Convenient everyday nutrition
Non-invasive health formats
Functional foods integrated into existing diets
Rather than selling standalone supplements, Good Monk’s “sprinkle-on” format aims to integrate micronutrients into daily food consumption seamlessly — a strategic bet on behaviour-driven nutrition.
BeingFounders Take
Preventive health is shifting from clinics to kitchens.
With strong investor backing, national visibility via Shark Tank, and improving margins, Good Monk represents a new wave of Indian consumer health startups building habit-based nutrition brands.
If executed well, the company could position itself as a household staple in India’s fast-growing functional food segment.
